Our Ferroscan Survey Service

Our new Ferroscan Survey provides a completely non-destructive means of locating reinforcing bars and measuring their depth within concrete. We use the latest cordless detection systems which pinpoint the location(s) and estimated diameter of Rebar.

Employing the induction principle, the scanner locates Rebars accurately and reliably within concrete structures. The results of scans can be instantly displayed on the portable monitor during the survey as easily interpretable 2D-images for direct on-site data analysis.

Reinforcing Bars can be identified to depths of 160mm below the surface of the concrete, with accurate measurement of concrete depth cover over the Rebar at depths of up to 100mm, allowing their positions to be marked directly on to the surface of the concrete.

This allows for trouble free coring and drilling and ensures that costly mistakes are easily avoided.

We also collect all Ferroscan data for further analysis and creation of our Survey reports. The data can also be used to build 3D models of the concrete structure with the Rebar locations accurately plotted, allowing for easy viewing, planning and designing with CAD software.
